Prestige Issues?

So I've talked to a few people and they've said some not so great things about the prestige unit and it being defective/not working. Anyone here having similar issues? Just worried about mine arriving and not working...

I know they have a refund policy but that's a pain the the buns to deal with.

Hope they work out some of the issues they've been experiencing lately...

I have two of them.  One is working fine, the other I haven't opened yet, but will today.  I'm not a smoker, so I'm using it only infrequently. 

I sure like the looks of it, though!

Okay, I just heard of an issue with it.  My husband Rick took it to a meeting today--this is the first time he's taken it.  He had it in his pocket and when he pulled it out, he said it was really hot.  I mean, hot enough to melt chocolate, he said!  He said it wasn't too hot that he couldn't hold it in his hand, but he was concerned because it just seemed too hot.

Is that the issue you've been hearing about?

I was carrying it around in my purse and I never noticed it being hot when I took it out, so I don't know....

I've never had that problem with either mine nor Matt's...his is always in his pocket and mine is in my purse or sticking out of my pocket.

Well, the one that got hot is toast.  It lasted about four days.  How do I go about getting it returned and a replacement? 

Guess I'll email customer service, but I know they're super backed up now, so don't know when I'll get a response. 

We got our other one the other day and so far, so good.

What issues were you hearing about with the Prestige?

My Elite gets warm but never hot. I was'nt getting any smoke either , so I changed my cartridge and recharged it. Works fine . That was my only issue. I did'nt think I had smoked the equivalent of a pack ,but I guess I did.

Update:  Out of three prestiges (our daughter's one and our two), two of them went belly up almost immediately.  I spoke to customer service and they said there were issues with the batteries.  They've been working on them and they should be resolved now.  They're sending us replacement parts for ours.  The bad thing is it's been three weeks now and we still don't have them.
